Miami
My dad played for University of Miami. His position was offensive tackle and his number was 79. He was very good and when he was a sophmore he got to play in the national championship because they were that good. I am very proud of him for winning and he has a ring and everything. It is really cool. The year was 1983 it was the Orange Bowl. The game was played against Nebraska. My father was in the starting line-up. His coach was Schnellenberger at the time however, the next year Jimmy Johnson became coach. He eventually led the team to yet another National Championship in 87' my father had graduated by then. The team won the game 31-30 so it was a real nail bitter, but VERY GOOD game! My dad's roomate for three years I believe was Bernie Kosar. Bernie went on to become an amazing NFL player and was the starting quarterback in the National Champion. So i am very proud of my dad and I really like Miami! :)
